What's the purpose of our blog is just wanna share about our activities from the beginning. We wanna prove to the others department in Kalimantan Institute of Technology, just because we don't even know the orientation training from our brother-institute (ITS or Sepuluh November Institute of Technology), we didn't know how to make ourselves to be a great department. It just depend on everybody's vision. And, now in this second semester, we get the orientation. The main purpose is how to get close in each person of Mechanical Department. Well, wish us luck everybody!

And next, maybe this blog will explain about our vision and mission. All of the student in Mechanical Engineering of Kalimantan Institute of Technology.

Today, Saturday, July 14, 2012 held at SMA Negeri 1 Balikpapan organized Entrance Test for Prospective Students Borneo Technology Institute, a partnership between Tenth of November Institute of Technology in conjunction with the Provincial Government of Kalimantan.

Participants totaled 253 people but not all of them are present. The test starts from 09.00 until 11.00 pm. The material covers the exam subjects of Physics, Mathematics and English.

Itek itself will be located in Aberdeen. Currently the campus is under construction period, expected later this year will wake up one cluster first. State Institute of Itek is even today still follow ITS.

For those who came from East Kalimantan, if you pass the test will receive a scholarship from the East Kalimantan provincial government. Lectures in the first year should be in Surabaya. They will live in the dorm. Furthermore, in the second year of study at the new campus will Itek located in Balikpapan. Lecturers also from ITS.

This morning while holding a written test, Balikpapan Mayor H. Rizal Effendi pleasure to present to review the immediate execution of the test. Talking with Tim from ITS and its Committee of the Provincial Committee of Education Office of Balikpapan. He hopes eventually be printed Itek qualified graduates.

Tests conducted this special day for participants of the island of Borneo. Entrance test will be held nationwide that can be followed by students from all over Indonesia. Registration is done online, but since there was trouble at banks that received payment, then served them offline registration where the applicant comes to Balikpapan City Department of Education to pay the registration fee on the day of Wednesday, July 11, 2012 sd Friday July 13, 2012 the applicant was asked to come to the next SMAN 1 Balikpapan starting Thursday sd Friday the 12th s.d. July 13, 2012 to fill out registration applications offline directly guided by a team of ITS.

Registration offline alone held as many complaints where there are applicants who have paid in the bank but can not login to the site designated for registration. So facilitated to fill out forms offline.

Furthermore, after the completion of the test, the team from the ITS instantly bring all the pieces of the answer to Surabaya.

Hopefully many will be printed from the great engineers and building Itek Borneo to be more advanced.
